About Library
The DRM Science
College library came into existence in the year 1974. For
the excellent setup of academic activities the library acts
as a nerve centre, catering to the needs of the students and
faculty. To fulfil the vision and mission of our institution,
the library has been shaped as a centre of excellence. The
library was established with the initial collection of 996
books and now it has reached 30933, with and unique titles
of 20,976. The collection includes the areas of benefits to
Teaching, learning process, Teaching techniques, curriculum
development, university education and faculty development.
In its treasure, the library has 5 regional and 11national
journals in specific areas. In addition to this formal information,
our library has also resource INFLIBNET, where we can access
60,000 journals and 3 lakhs books through this INFLIBNET.
Our new library building was constructed during 2001 that
has two stairs building. The ground floor consists of circulation
section, librarian’s chamber, faculty reading section,
e-library and student’s reading section (girls and boys
separately) with the seating capacity of about 75readers.
The first floor consists of reference section and study area
with seating capacity of about 125 readers. This section also
provides current knowledge of events, where the students can
have access to a number of dailies, journals, professional,
academic and general magazines.
